TUNBRIDGE WELLS FAIRTRADE TOWN GROUP
"Let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream" Amos 5:24
Fairtrade Fortnight 2017 - Take a Break with Fairtrade 2016 was the 10th anniversary of Tunbridge Wells as a Fairtrade Town. To help us celebrate this we were generously given the use of a vacant retail unit in the Royal Victoria Place Shopping Centre. The shop space seemed rather big at first but we were soon able to fill it with an exhibition of images from our last 10 years, displays of Fairtrade goodies provided by several retailers in the shopping centre, and a new painting made by local school students. The painting was based on the famous photograph of construction workers having their lunch break high above New York.
