"Let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream" Amos 5:24
Fairtrade Fortnight 2008 - Fairtrade banner
project
In
2008
Tunbridge
Wells
celebrated
the
first
anniversary
of
its
Fairtrade
Town
status
during
Fairtrade
Fortnight.
Twenty
local
schools
joined
together
to
create
a
community
art
installation
in
Calverley
Precinct
in
the
Town
Centre.
The
installation
was
made
up
of
huge
letters
of
varying
sizes
and
hung
in
different
positions
around
the
precinct.
If
onlookers
stood
by
the
clock
tower,
the
letters
would
magically
come
together
to
spell
out
the
word
FAIRTRADE.
The
school
students
each
made
a
portrait
of
one
of
their
friends,
and
the
resulting
faces
were
put
together to make up the letters.
