Fairtrade Fortnight 2006 - The Gleaners Over 300 students from twenty six local secondary, primary and infant schools created a town centre painting based on Millet’s 19th Century masterpiece, “The Gleaners”. Each student was given a square to paint without being told what the end product was. We put all the squares together "et voila ...!" We kept some squares aside for passers-by to complete on the day, and among the contributors was our local MP Greg Clark.
